DAC 2018: Results of the Regional Qualifiers

The list of participants of the upcoming Dota 2 Asia Championship 2018 is set as the closed qualifiers have concluded in all six regions.

The closed qualifiers were held in North America, South America, Southeast Asia, China, CIS and Europe. All regions except for China had the same competition format: six invited teams and two qualified teams competed in a double-elimination bracket with best-of-three matches, with North America and Southeast Asia having two slots at the main event and South America, Europe and CIS getting only one spot. The Chinese qualifier featured 12 participating teams and was divided into two stages: in the group stage the teams were placed into two round-robin groups with best-of-one series with the top team from each group advancing to the main event. In the second stage eight teams competed in a double-elimination bracket with best-of-three regular matches and best-of-five grand finals, the winner qualified for the main event.

The final stage of the major tournament will take place at Shanghai Oriental Sports Center on March 30th – April 7th. The prize pool is set at $1,000,000, the teams will also compete for 1500 Pro Circuit Points.
