Natus Vincere and Newbee Invited to StarLadder i-League Invitational #5

The organizers of the upcoming Dota 2 minor tournament StarLadder i-League Invitational Season 5 have announced two teams that were invited to take part in the event. Natus Vincere and Newbee will travel to Kiev to compete for $300,000 and 300 Dota Pro Circuit points.

In total the tournament’s line-up will consist of eight teams. Besides the two invited teams, there will be six winners of the regional qualifiers. Fnatic have already won the Southeast Asia qualifier, while the other participants will be determined later this month.

The main event will be held on April 11-15 in the capital of Ukraine. First the teams will be placed into two GSL groups with best-of-three series, then top two teams from each group will advance to the single-elimination playoffs bracket. The semifinals will be played in a best-of-three format, while the grand finals will be best-of-five.

The previous season of StarLadder i-League Invitational took place on February 1-4 in Shanghai, China. In the grand finals Team Liquid defeated LGD Gaming 3-1.
