Groups for ECS Season 8 Revealed

FACEIT have revealed the results of group draws for their upcoming CS:GO event Esports Championship Series Season 8 Finals. AVANGAR, Evil Geniuses, Ninjas in Pyjamas and Team Liquid have been seeded into Group A, while Astralis, Fnatic, MIBR and Sharks Esports will compete in Group B.

The group stage will follow a double-elimination format, where opening matches will be best-of-one and all other series will be best-of-three. In the first matches of Group A Evil Geniuses will face Avangar, while Team Liquid will play with Ninjas in Pyjamas. In Group B’s opening series Astralis will face Sharks Esports, while Fnatic will compete with MIBR. Top two teams from each group will advance to a single-elimination playoffs bracket.

ECS Season 8 – Finals is scheduled for November 28th – December 1st and will take place at Esports Stadium in Arlington, United States. The tournament’s prize pool is set at $500,000.
