ESL One Genting 2018: Invited Teams

ESL reveled the list of eight teams, which are directly invited to their upcoming minor Dota 2 tournament with a $400,000 prize pool.

ESL One Genting will be held on January 23-28 and feature 16 teams competing in a double-elimination playoffs bracket. Eight teams were directly invited by the organizers, including:

• Team Liquid
• Newbee
• Mineski
• Evil Geniuses
• Team Secret
• Vici Gaming
• Fnatic

Starting on December 18, regional qualifiers for ESL One Genting 2018 will be held in North America, South America, Europe, CIS, Southeast Asia and China. Two best teams from China and one team from each other region will qualify for the LAN-event. With eight invited and seven qualified teams, the total number of participating teams is 17, which leaves one slot empty. It is possible that the organizers will make the final invite based on the results of The Summit 8 and MDL Macau minors, both of which will be held this month.

ESL One Genting 2018 is a minor tournament with $400,000 and 400 DPC Points at stake. Sixteen teams will compete at Arena of Stars in Genting Highlands, Malaysia on January 23-28.
