ESL One Birmingham Announced

Birmingham will host the first Dota 2 major tournament in the United Kingdom. The event will be organized by ESL, the prize pool is set at $1,000,000.

This May 12 teams will compete for their share of a $1,000,000 prize pool and 1500 Dota Pro Circuit points at Arena Birmingham. The group stage will be held behind closed doors on May 23-24, while playoffs stage will be played with live audience on May 25-27. Out of 12 participating teams, six will be invited directly by the organizers, while the others will have to make it through the regional qualifiers.

ESL have already hosted two Dota 2 majors this season. Both ESL One Hamburg and ESL One Katowice concluded with the victory of Virtus.pro, who are currently leaders in terms of DPC points and have secured their spot at The International 2018.
