ESL Major qualifiers: the invites are revealed

The regional closed qualifiers for the first Major tournament are around the corner. ESL revealed the list of invited teams, who will battle for a spot at a $1,000,000 tournament which will be held in Hamburg, Germany on October 28-29.

Recently ESL announced two teams that received direct invites to the LAN-finals – Team Liquid and Newbee. The other 6 spots are determined by results of closed qualifiers, held in 6 regions: North America, South America, Southeast Asia, China, Europe and CIS. There are 12 teams in each region, four of them will make it through the open qualifiers. The closed qualifiers will take place on September 21-24.

With 12 teams in each region, there are 72 teams in total fighting for only 6 final spots at ESL One Hamburg 2017. No doubts, there’s going to be plenty of action at the start of the new Dota 2 competitive season.
