APEX Legends: A New Collection Event Announced

During the video conference EA Play 2020 Respawn Entertainment have announced a new collection event for APEX Legends called The Lost Treasure, which will run between June 23rd and July 7th.

During the event, a new game mode – Armed and Dangerous Evolved– will be available, where players will be able to use only sniper rifles and shotguns and will be equipped with EVO-shields. The event will feature a new item – Mobile Respawn Beacon, which allows you to respawn your teammates almost anywhere. Once the event is over, the item will become available in usual game modes.

The event will feature 24 unique cosmetics items, which can be acquired either directly or through the event packs. Those who will unlock all 24 items will get the Mirage Heirloom set for free. Besides that, there will be a series of challenges that award two legendary weapon skins.

Further, the developers also revealed that this fall the game will become available on Steam and be ported to Nintendo Switch. On top of it, the game will support crossplay between all platforms.
