WESG 2017 Hearthstone Finals: Fujitora Defeats Luker

The Hearthstone competition at WESG 2017 has concluded with a 4-2 victory of a Turkish player Kaan "Fujitora" Çekli over his opponent from Canada Michael "Luker" Luker.

The tournament featured 31 players competing for their share of a $300,000 prize pool. The group stage was divided into two phases: in the first phase 31 players were seeded into eight groups, only two best players from each group advanced to the next phase, in which they were placed into four groups. Based on the results of the group stage, eight players advanced to the single-elimination playoffs bracket with best-of-seven series.

In the playoffs Fujitora defeated nexok40 (4-3) and ScreaM (4-2), meanwhile Luker outplayed Fluffy (4-1) and posesi (4-3). The grand finals concluded with the 4-2 score in favour of Fujitora. For this victory he received $150,000 in prize money.
