RIOT Games’ Shooter Valorant to Become Available this Summer

RIOT Games, the developers of League of Legends, have shared new information on their upcoming game, earlier known under its codename Project A. The game, which is a first-person shooter, will be called VALORANT and become available this summer.

According to the game’s official website, VALORANT is expected to have a robust net code and run on 128-tick servers, which will be located globally to ensure smooth and reliable gameplay. Anti-cheat is also one of the focuses of the developers. Besides that, the developers promised that the game will run with at least 30 FPS on most min-spec computers with less than 35ms ping for players in major cities around the world.

VALORANT was announced last October. The game has obvious similarities with Counter-Strike, being a 5v5 tactical shooter with the bomb plant scenario. However, it is a character-based game, where players choose characters with unique abilities.
