PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Will Have an Event Mode

The developers of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds presented the newest addition to the game – the Event Mode.

Event Mode is a new system, which will feature a modified Battle Royal experience a for a limited time – for example, the first event will have the following rules:

• Teams of 8 players
• Doubled rifle drop rate
• Third-person view
• Erangel

The developers noted that this week’s event is just the first iteration of the new system. In addition to changing core parameters of the game, later on this mode will also include new content – the developers have already teased a flare gun. Also the Event Mode will not be played in a ranked mode, but you will be able to get BP after each match.

At the moment the new system is available only on the Test Server.

Earlier this month the developers presented their road map for 2018, in which they shared their plans on adding two completely new maps and various other content and improvements.
