Gambit Esports Places First at WePlay Valentine Madness
WePlay! Dota 2 Valentine Madness has competed with Gambit Esports defeating Ninjas in Pyjamas (3-1) in the grand finals of the event, claiming $50,000 in prize money.
Gambit Esports started the event from the second round of the upper bracket, where they defeated The Pango (2-1). In the next round they lost to Ninjas in Pyjamas (0-2), dropping to the lower bracket. In the losers’ bracket finals they defeated The Pango (2-1) once again. In the grand finals Gambit emerged victorious at the first, third and fourth maps.
The event took place on February 10th – 16th. Twelve teams from Europe and CIS competed online for a $100,000 prize pool in a double-elimination bracket.
