Chaos E.C. Release Smooya Due to Visa Issues

The North American organization Chaos Esports Club has removed the British player Owen "smooya" Butterfield from their Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster, leaving his position officially vacant.

The player was unable to compete with the team as his visa interview was postponed indefinitely due to the global situation with the covid-19 pandemic. On his personal Twitter account Smooya announced that he is going to continue his career and is open for offers, including to play in a mix. Meantime he will be streaming.

Smooya joined the team this January, replacing Gage "Infinite" Green. During this time the team managed to win the North American qualifier for FLASHPOINT Season 1 and placed 3rd-4th in the LAN-qualifier, securing the place in the first season of the league. Currently the team plays with Logan "Voltage" Long, who is officially a member of Triumph.

Earlier Chaos E.C. released their Dota 2 roster due to the cancellation of multiple Dota Pro Circuit events.
